중/고등학교때 듣던 이탈리아 음악들을 정리해서 출퇴근 때 듣고 있다. 고등학교 때는 오전 11시에 김자영 아나운서가 진행하던 {세계의 유행음악}을 수업시간에 구석에서 이어폰 끼고 들었던 기억도 나는데, 그때는 이 방송이 비-영미계 음악을 접하는 창구였다.




# {Sara Perche Ti Amo}



칸초네 20곡 정도 추려봤는데, 첫 곡은 단연 "부자와 가난뱅이 Ricchi e Poveri"란 3인조가 1979년에 불러서 산레모 가요제 우승했던 노래 {Sarà perchè ti amo}. 1985년에 샤를롯 갱스부르가 주연한 {귀여운 반항아}의 주제곡으로 사용되서 한국에서도 많이 들었는데, 전 그보다 전인 80년 혹은 81년에 라디오에서 들었던 것 같다. 무는 뜻인지는 몰라도 친구들과 단락을 나눠서 한글로 채록해 부르곤 했는데, 특히 후렴구가 아주 좋았다.

세기말이 지나 21세기에 접어든 후에야 유투브에서 이 분들 공연 동영상을 처음 봤고 놀랐던 기억이 난다. 그러니까 교실 구석에 이어폰끼고 수업시간에 듣던 시절에 저 분들은 이런 다소 중년의 모습이었단 말이다. 난 사실 여성보컬은 당시 10대일 줄 알았다.



아래는 2015년 모스크바 공연인데, 모스크바에서는 해마다 80년 대 (유럽)디스코 가수들을 초청해서 이런 콘서트를 가지는 듯.

1979년부터 지금까지 도대체 이 노래를 얼마나 불렀을지 아마 본인들도 다 기억 못하겠지만, 이 분들에겐 이 노래가 그들의 "The Song"이리라. 물론 노래를 들은지 37년이 지난 나에게도 이 노래는 "The Italian Love Song"이다.

# {Felicità}

"대한민국 10대} 가수로 조용필과 자웅을 겨뤘던 몇 안되는 가수 중 하나였던 이용이 {사랑과 행복, 그리고 이별}이란 가사로 번안해 불렀던 곡의 원곡은 이탈리아의 부부 가수였던 Al Bano 와 Romina Power가 불러 산레모 가요제에서 우승했던 {펠리치타}다. 사랑과 행복과 "이별"을 노래하는 이용의 번안곡과 달리, 원곡은 "이별"에 대해선 일언반구도 없고 오직 "행복 / 펠리치타"에 대해서만 이야기 한다.

로미나 파워는 이탈리아인이 아니라 아버지는 미국인, 어머니는 멕시코인으로 둘 다 배우였는데, 초등학생 시절의 내 눈으로 보기에도 엄청한 미인이었다.

[2] {Sempre, Sempre}

알바노-로미나 듀엣의 또 다른 국제적 히트곡 중 하나는 {Sempre, Sempre}다.





이 듀엣은 여러 노래로 큰 성공을 거두었고 부부사이도 좋았지만 23세던 큰 딸이 1994년에 미국 무전여행 중 실종되고 생사를 알 수 없게 된 후 30년 간의 결혼이 파경을 맞았다. (알 바노는 2015년에 딸을 마침내 사망처리 했다.)

아래는 2005년 러시아 가수 율리아 나찰로바와 부른 {쎔프레, 쎔프레}. 율리아 나찰로바는 러시아어로 부른다. 개인적으론 기교가 많이 들어간 율리아의 창법보다는 로미나의 자연스럽고 차분한 버전이 더 좋다.
